i think the technical analysis in stocks is similar with the forex trading, you get benefit from this if you already know about stocks. but there are still big different between forex and stocks trading, especially the trading time frame, you will never open and close a trade in stock market in same day; but in forex you can make it in just a few minutes.

not really. you can learn to be a long term trader, you can leave your trade for a few days or even longer. it is depends on how you do the analysis on the market.
there are a lot successful long term traders around the world

in forex there 3 type trading style
1-scalping
2-intraday
3-swing

for swing and intraday just analysis the chart, if u find the nice setup u can enter the post. just a few hour,not every time.

i guess we can get more signal to start a trade if we are doing swing or intraday, the trend for longer time frame can be detected more easier. however, just be careful not to start a trade at the end of a trend, patient to observe the floating of the price is needed

It does not matter when you start a trade as long as you know how much you can loose. One trader can not be always successful so has to bear some losses as well.

And for scalping, market is always ready. I just scalped again and got 2 pips. I like to scalp, its possible to make the most with scalping. A currency pair up down more than 5000 pips in a day. If you can grab only 10% of it, you will be rich.

15 min chart is good for scalping. for scalping it works like 4 H chart.
